In commemoration of the 84th Anniversary of the school, the School Development Society (SDS) organized the annual "Visakha Walk" on February 10, 2001. The walk was along Vajira Road, Havelock Road, Reid Avenue, Rajakeeya Mawatha, Thurstan Road, Queens Road, Duplication Road and back to school grounds. Past and present Principals, Vice-Principals, teachers, well wishers, and Visakhians of all ages walked with Visakha spirit towards the common goal of raising funds for various development activities in the school.
